In 2024, the Panevėžys Regional Court aimed for efficiency and the assurance of equal opportunities
The Panevėžys Regional Court has prepared and presents to the public its review of activities for 2024. When evaluating the court's performance results for the past year, it is necessary to emphasize a significant fact – the number of cases handled has noticeably increased. The court received 1435 new cases, which is almost one hundred more compared to 2023. However, despite the increased workload, it is noteworthy that the court successfully managed the increased number of cases, improved the speed of case processing, and maintained a high level of decision stability.
In 2024, special attention was paid not only to the well-being of court staff, by creating a comfortable rest area on the court premises, but also to increasing the accessibility of services provided. One of the most important changes in this area was the relocation of the court's registry to the ground floor.
"This decision is an important step towards ensuring equal opportunities, so that every person, regardless of their physical abilities, has equal conditions to access the court and seek justice," noted the court's president, Donatas Jatužis.
Employee surveys conducted showed that the staff of the Panevėžys Regional Court positively evaluate their work environment and feel motivated and actively involved in the court's activities.
"We can be pleased that a favorable microclimate in the workplace, where respect and mutual support prevail, directly contributed to the efficiency of the court's operations. This is reflected in our ability to provide high-quality services to the public," emphasized the court president. The service provided to individuals contacting the court and their satisfaction with the services provided by court staff was rated 4.93 out of 5.
Despite the good performance results, the court will continue to strive for improvement. The main priority remains the timely adoption of high-quality court decisions and increasing public trust. The court also aims to be a modern and open institution.
