Among the newly sworn-in judges - a former judge's assistant from the Panevėžys Regional Court
Laisvė Jakšienė, who worked as a judge's assistant at the Panevėžys Regional Court for over 13 years, is now a judge at the Panevėžys District Court.
On Wednesday, the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, signed a decree appointing six district court judges and accepted their oaths of office.
According to the Presidential decree, Laisvė Jakšienė has been appointed as a judge of the Panevėžys Chamber of the Panevėžys District Court, Kristina Linkevičienė as a judge of the Šiauliai Chamber of the Šiauliai District Court, Ernesta Mockutė as a judge of the Radviliškis Chamber of the Šiauliai District Court, with her place of work in Joniškis city, Gabrielė Monstvilaitė as a judge of the Kaunas Chamber of the Kaunas District Court, with her place of work in Kaišiadorys city, Martyna Verbiejė as a judge of the Šiauliai Chamber of the Šiauliai District Court, and Vaida Verkevičienė as a judge of the Utena Chamber of the Utena District Court.
The judges swore to faithfully serve the Republic of Lithuania, to honestly and honorably perform their duties, to ensure justice in accordance with the Constitution and laws of the Republic of Lithuania, and to protect human rights, freedoms, and legitimate interests.
We congratulate our former colleague Laisvė Jakšienė on becoming a judge and wish her courageous and fair decisions!
