11 new judges sworn in, including Panevėžys native Artūras Skaparas
Today, the President of the Republic of Lithuania, Gitanas Nausėda, signed a decree on the appointment of eleven district court judges and accepted their solemn oaths. Among the newly appointed administrators of justice is Artūras Skaparas from Panevėžys.
Before becoming a judge, A. Skaparas gained three and a half years of professional experience working as a judge's assistant at the Panevėžys Regional Court. By presidential decree, he was appointed to serve at the Panevėžys Chamber of the Panevėžys District Court.
The following also took office today: Paulina Baukienė (Utena District Court, Utena Chamber), Indrė Budžiūtė (Šiauliai District Court, Šiauliai Chamber), Lina Gudeliauskienė (Kauno District Court, Kauno Chamber), Renata Guruškinienė (Šiauliai District Court, Šiauliai Chamber), Jolita Knystautaitė (Utena District Court, Zarasai Chamber), Laura Mankienė (Alytus District Court, Alytus Chamber), Nijolė Paškonienė (Utena District Court, Ignalina Chamber), Andrius Ščevinskas (Šiauliai District Court, Šiauliai Chamber), Andrius Urbonas (Panevėžys District Court, Biržai Chamber), Raminta Valatkienė (Kauno District Court, Kauno Chamber).
The judges swore to be faithful to the Republic of Lithuania, to perform their duties honorably, to administer justice in accordance with the Constitution and the laws, and to protect human rights and freedoms.
